What's in a Name?

I am frequently asked how I came up with the name Whippy Cake. It originated from an audio talk by Troy Dunn called "Free Samples". Troy describes his experience as a young boy at a grocery store. When offered free samples of whippy cake it enhanced his desire to eat more whippy cake. My husband was quickly dubbed "whippy" after hearing the talk because he enhances my urge to be with him more. Since then I now refer to my products as whippy cakes and hope that once you've had a taste of glam it will leave you with a craving for more.

Buyers Keepers
Everything from Whippy Cake is hand made here in Arizona so make sure you can't live without your whippy cakes before you commit to buy it because we do not accept returns or exchanges. In the rare event that there is something wrong with your Glamour Band you can send it back and we will replace it for you. In order to meet the exchange requirements the exchange must be made within 30 days of purchase and the item must be received in original condition. Shipping will not be refunded and the buyer is responsible for return shipping for the exchange item. No returns or exchanges on custom orders.

Mr. Postman
Our confections are packaged in sweet confectionary bags and tied with a lace bow then shipped in a padded mailer. Whippy cakes are shipped first class mail via USPS. Because our products are made to order then whipped up right here in our studio, orders normally ship between 5-10 business days upon receipt of payment. It is possible that fulfillment times could be longer, so check our blog for current turnaround times. We also ship internationally but please allow an additional 5-8 days for shipping. You will receive a notification email with a tracking number when your package has shipped. We mindfully package and ship our items with care but we are not responsible for lost or damaged packages. However, you do have the option to pay extra for insurance upon checkout.

Tick Tock
We do our best to prepare for mobs of Whippy Cake lovers and buyers but occasionally we do get backed up so if you need your order by a certain date please oh please be mindful of our order turnaround times and check our blog for current turnaround updates. Gotta have it now? We offer rush orders as an option when you check out.

Cake is Cheap
It is when you get to use our discounts and promo codes. Promo codes can only be used through the shopping cart and not on weddings, custom orders or sale items. Be sure to use your discounts before they expire.

The Picky Buyer
We currently have 4 collections, 46 individual Glamour Bands, plus 10 different bands to chose from and we're hoping that's enough to meet your every desire but if you still don't see something you just have to have, feel free to send us your custom order wishes to admin@whippycake.com and we will see if we can make your dreams come true. The catch is there is a custom order fee.

I Do!
That is, WE do... take thee to be our lawful wedded customer to admire and adorn as long as you're the bride to be. We have created a simple bridal process for brides wanting to custom order bouquets, boutonnieres, pins and other pretty things for your special day. We strive to make the process all about you and what you want. You will receive a bridal portfolio, checklist, timeline, swatches and samples through out your whippy experience. Preservatives
We've said it over and over again but just in case you didn't know our items are handmade plus we hand pick the delicate materials and adorments to go with. Here are some easy things to do in order to preserve your Glamour Band as long as possible. 1. Do NOT wash them, wear them in the shower or take them swimming with you. They don't know how to swim. 2. Keep them in a box, bag or pouch and away from objects that might tear, snag or fray the materials. 3. Glamour Bands belong on your head, not in your bed. We know you will want to wear them 24 hours a day but you should remove them while sleeping. 4. They are made with velcro and velcro catches on everything so we think it's best to always have an applique attached to the velcro so it's not running wild in your drawer bullying the delicate accessories around it. 5. Speaking of delicate, our lace headbands are very delicate and you should never let them near anything that will snag or fray them like bare velcro, zippers, cheese graters and other raw and sharp edges. 5. While we know that Glamour Bands look fabulous for any event and occasion, we suggest you leave your Glamour Band in a safe place while participating in food fights, paint projects, dyes, athletic activities, kindergarden art classes and other risky situations just to be safe. 6. If you like your pieces neat and tidy without one thread out of place you can use our little trick (at your OWN risk, with adult supervision). Take a lighter and very carefully and lightly graze over the fly-aways to singe any unwanted frays and strings. Only do this for half a second at a time. If you do allow it to burn for more than half a second at a time you risk discoloration and withering. Please be very careful NOT to burn yourself or your applique to ashes since we don't replace burnt items and we don't sell burn cream.
